It's a rainy night in San Ramon and I am hanging with my folks, eating a meal every half an hour and watching enough TV for a lifetime. I am also catching up on some e-mails and general recording of What Went On In Life in the past month or so.... and how can I leave out the incredible Nevada City Bizarre?
I am so happy to report that it was a hit, a smashing success, and a damn good time! Despite the absolutely wicked weather (the kind of rain that is almost snow and blows sideways and finds its way down the back of your neck) everyone was obviously feeling stir crazy at home, and they descended on cozy world inside the Miner's Foundry like, well, crazed Christmas shoppers! But instead of dropping their loot at the mall, they kept it all in the community-- so cool!
As usual, I was so busy running around all day that I didn't take a single picture... but here are some from the professional photographer we hired, James Bratt, and there are oodles more of sweet pics from Heather at Moonshine Junkyard (one of our many vintage vendors) on her blog here!
One of the two big halls full of amazing vendors
Myself and Leora, fellow organizer extraordinaire, setting things up at the front door in the morning
Exquisite Corps, one of the dozen aaaamazing bands that played that day

Breaking news! Amber over at Violet Folklore just uploaded her pics from the Bizarre. Here they are:
If all goes well, we are going to have a Bizarre again in the Spring... so spread the news, and stay tuned to this blog!

This is an amazing space! Wow!
