Winter on the Verge of Summer

I just have to give a big thanks to my friend Winter, who recently bequeathed a tremendous part of her vintage collection to me as a blessing on my new Etsy Full Time endeavor! This lady is the vintage QUEEN- she literally started thrifting as soon as she could walk. She takes care of her grandma-in-law now, and since she moved into a smaller house to do this, she was feeling a little overwhelmed by her collection. I had never seen it in person and I was literally SO STUNNED that I actually forgot to take a lot of pictures... I just started digging through the clothes, laughing! Oh the joy of vintage! I got some stuff for me, some for the shop, and one Avon pink leather Powersuit in particular (yes all of those words actually did just go together) that I don't know WHAT I am going to do with, but I am suer that it is somehow going to end up in this blog.

The deer in the family room is so after my heart. I love how his antlers have become hangers!

Winter is an animal lover like me... I didn't get any snaps of the dogs or the cat (who looks almost exactly like my Mouchie! I swear all the black cats in Grass Valley are related) but here is Nugget, the House Chicken! Don't you love the pillow behind him?
